Holland update meeting (for leaders)

The next update meeting will take place at Hobbs Hill Wood School, at 8pm on Wednesday 14^th November.

Everyone is welcome to come along – whether you’re coming on the trip yourself OR you have Scouts/Explorers from your group attending and you want to know more about what will be happening before the event and whilst we are there.

Thanks to everyone who has promoted the District Expedition to Holland – just three weeks after giving out the first pack of information over 100 people had signed up to join us on our adventure next August and as at the closing date of 26^th October we have 113 confirmed participants (59 Scouts, 29 Explorers, 5 Scout Network and 20 adults).

There will be a variety of updates and discussion on a number of topics:

• The campsite (Andy, Lorna, Helen and I have now visited and have lots of pictures)
• The programme – most activities are provisionally booked
• Pre-event build up (including unit clothing, learning more about Holland, the one-day get-together in March and overnight night camp in May)
• Fundraising opportunities
• Overall timeline for the expedition (making sure nothing gets forgotten!)

Look forward to seeing you there – we have bought back some tasty Dutch treats and a little souvenir from our site visit trip for all the adults coming with us next Summer!
