Scout Active Support unit provide “active support to Scouting” – we have a number of units in Hemel Hempstead, providing a range of services to young people and leaders.
Event Support
This unit can provide “man-power” to help events run smoothly – parking cars, running bases or any other task you need.

InTouch
This unit can provide an individual to act as “Home Contact” for your camp, trip or expedition – ideal if you can’t find anyone who is not a relative of a participant.

Media & Communications
This unit ensures the right people know the right information at the right time – managing distribution lists, producing the district directory, editing a newsletter, as well as reporting on events and taking pictures to ensure our website and the local press promote the fun, challenging and adventurous activities which Scouting provides to almost 900 young people in Hemel Hempstead.

Navigation Skills
This unit can provide activities for young people adults to learn how use maps, compasses and GPS Units. They aso have a number of Garmin Etrex GPS Units available for Scout groups / Explorer Units to borrow.

Scout Shop
This unit operates a Scout Shop every Tuesday evening at Hobbs Hill Wood Primary School – ensuring uniforms, badges and resources are available to parents and leaders.

Water Activities
This unit provides weekly sailing sessions at Bury Lake Young Mariners Base during the Summer. Advice and occasional activities can be run for Scout Groups / Units.
